About AgPlan
AgPlan is powerful website developed to help rural businesses develop a business
plan. AgPlan is free of charge for anyone to use individually or in educational
programs.
AgPlan is designed to provide customized assistance to different types of rural
businesses. When you enter the site, you will be able to select your business type
from the following choices:
- Ag - Commodity
- Ag - Value-Added
- Organic Transition
- Personal Plan
- Small Business
Each business type has an outline designed specifically for that particular type
of business, tips or questions that help you develop each section of the plan, sample
business plans, and links to additional resources for each section of the plan.
AgPlan is designed to help business owners work with an educator or consultant while
developing a business plan. You can give access to your business plan to the reviewers
of your choice and AgPlan will facilitate interaction with them.

Center for Farm Financial Management
The mission of the Center
for Farm Financial Management is to improve the farm financial management and marketing
abilities of agricultural producers and the professionals who serve them through
educational software and training programs.
The Center for Farm Financial Management
(CFFM) provides educational programs and software tools that are practical, timely,
and applicable to real-world farm situations.
For more than 25 years CFFM has developed products and training focused on farm
financial planning, financial analysis, commodity marketing, and credit analysis.
CFFM products are widely used by farmers, lenders and educators throughout the United
States.
FINPACK, the Center´s flagship software product, provides a suite of tools
that guide producers and ag professionals to sound financial decisions.
The Center for Farm Financial Management is part of the Department of Applied Economics in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences
at the University of Minnesota.
AgPlan Privacy and Security
AgPlan protects your information and data so only you can access it. The data you enter in AgPlan is private and secure. No one will be able to access your data except the reviewers that you personally give access to your plan.
Privacy
The Center for Farm Financial Management is committed to safeguarding the privacy of AgPlan user data. The Center has procedures and technology designed to protect the security and privacy of users including.
- Strictly making personal information and data unavailable to employee access.
- Adhering to the University of Minnesota’s rigorous policies and procedures covering the proper physical security of workplaces and records.
- Requiring independent contractors who work with us to adhere to our strict privacy standards.
- Using technological means (such as backup files, virus detection, firewalls, and other computer software and hardware) to protect against unauthorized access to customer data.
- Policies that never allow sharing of personal information with other organizations or individuals.
Security
The Center for Farm Financial Management employs up-to-date server and firewall technology to ensure the security of AgPlan data.
For over 25 years, the Center for Farm Financial Management has been a trusted name in farm financial management. We are committed to utilize proven technology to protect your personal information and privacy.
Individualized password
When you register to use AgPlan, you to create your own password, to access your plan. The only way you or anyone else can access your data or information is by use of your password. The only exception to this, is when you personally give your advisors access to your plan as reviewers.
Security Question
The Center for Farm Financial Management cannot access your password nor your business plan. If you forget your password, you must use the security question you entered when you registered to generate a new password. The security question is used to confirm your identity and to allow us to verify who you are.
